Oak Brush Pile Mulching

Boerne, TX

Project Overview

The owner had stacked their own brush piles — mostly oak limbs with some cedar and mixed brush — and didn't want to deal with burn bans, smoke, or hauling material off. Forestry mulching the piles in place came out as the cleanest answer.

Scope of Work

  • Forestry mulched existing brush piles in place
  • Smoothed disturbed ground underneath
  • Cleaned up the work area to a finished look
  • No burning, no haul off

Terrain & Site Conditions

Flat work area with minimal surface rock — straightforward conditions to mulch in and to leave clean.

Challenges & Considerations

Mixed pile material feeds the mulcher differently and can hide rocks or wire. We worked the piles down in controlled passes, kept an eye on what was coming through the head, and finished the ground out clean.

Result

Piles are gone, ground is smooth, mulch is on the ground doing some good, and the owner skipped burning and hauling altogether.
